My name is Diane Ogg and my husband Robert. We were re-married in 2010...yes, a second go around. We have two children, Bryan and Amy.
I began sewing when I was probably about 10 years old; taking my allowance to the 5 & 10 store to buy fabric. From there I would lay out my favorite skirt, trace it out and proceed to hand sew it. Eventually my mother purchased a sewing machine. So, I have been a seamstress most of my life.
In 2010, I decided to start quilting; the piecing aspect of it. Kind of dabbling; watching and learning from the internet. After completing a few tops and then having to quilt them on my domestic machine, I was on the hunt for a long-arm. Was tired of trying to maneuver the quilt on such a small machine.
Eventually I ended up with just a “domestic” on a frame; which was fine for a bit and then I outgrew it; quickly. Jumped to a mid-arm and started taking on clients; again, outgrowing it before I knew it. When I received 10 quilt tops within a weekend; the hubby said it was time to upgrade. No argument from me!
I am now a proud owner of a 26” ABM Innova, with a 12’ table. I also have the AutoPilot/Mach3 Computer system installed. I have no problem with keeping up with demand now. My clients are so surprised when they drop off a quilt one day and it's complete the next. There is no waiting weeks, or months to receive your quilt back.
Not only to do I quilt for clients, I also volunteer my services to Quilt of Valor (QOV), and I donate quilts to the Peds ICU unit of Hurley Hospital, in Flint Michigan.
I appreciate you taking the time to view my website. Feel free to call or email with any questions you may have. I look forward in quilting for you!!
